About Ann's Garden Oasis and Hummingbird Respite Care Services
Located in the heart of Nanaimo, Central to Vancouver Island, Ann's Garden Oasis has quick access to Nanaimo Regional Hospital, and BC Ferries, making it the perfect place to stay for Respite Care.
You'll find it to be a welcoming, relaxing oasis, a place to rest, heal and restore.
An LPN since 2007, Ann brings a variety of nursing experience to Hummingbird Respite Care Services, including Transitional Care Experience, Surgical, and Medical Care experience, over six years of Wound Care experience, and many years of Alzheimers and Dementia Care experience.
As a bed and breakfast, the Hummingbird Studio Suite is a great home base for exploring the Island's many natural attractions. It is a great place to put up your feet after a busy day of adventuring to incredible beaches, trails, stunning waterfalls, with swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or paddle boarding in the waters on and surrounding Vancouver Island.

​​The Hummingbird Studio Suite
You will enjoy your own private entrance with a lovely patio amongst the majestic cedar trees and beautiful gardens.
Two small fridges, a microwave, a kettle, a coffee maker, dishes, cutlery and even an outdoor BBQ, with a side burner are available for your use. Free wifi is available for your use.
Especially quaint and cosy, and with a very comfortable Queen-sized bed, the Hummingbird Studio Suite is perfect for your home away from home, and especially for a very private Respite Care stay.
​The Garden Oasis Villa Room
A very quaint room indeed, the Garden Oasis Villa Room is equipped with a medical bed, private half bathroom, access to a bathtub with a lift, or a shower with all the equipment required for a safe, restful, enjoyable stay at Ann's Garden Oasis. 24/7 Care is provided by Ann, an LPN, as needed for clients on an individually assessed basis.
​At Ann's Garden Oasis, your bed and breakfast stay in this relaxing, tranquil setting includes:
Coffee and tea, a delicious breakfast basket with fresh fruit, continental pastries, boiled eggs, yoghurt, and/or granola or whatever continental items you desire. We like to provide items that our guests enjoy, and special requests are always encouraged.
Individualized meal plans will be made
for Respite Care Stays.
All the amenities needed for bathing, along with deluxe towels and linens, are provided for all stays.
